Have a question about BinDays, spotted an incorrect council link, or want to report an issue? We are happy to hear from you.
Looking for your bin day?
We cannot look up collection dates for you personally. To find your bin day, go to the BinDays homepage and enter your postcode. We will take you to your council's official checker where your dates are listed.

We link to your council's own bin checker because it is the only source that is guaranteed to be current. If we stored dates ourselves, they could go out of date when councils change schedules for bank holidays or round reorganisations. Your council's page opens in a new tab so you can return to BinDays easily.
This can happen if your postcode sits on or very close to a council boundary. The most common cause is entering a partial postcode such as LS1 rather than a full postcode such as LS1 4DL. Try entering your full postcode. If the result is still wrong, email us and include your postcode and the council you expected to reach.
Councils do move and restructure their websites. Email us at contact@bindays.org with the council name and we will find and update the correct link. In the meantime, search for the council name plus bin day in your browser to find the current page directly.
We aim to cover all 382 local authorities in the UK. If your council appears to be missing from our councils page, email us with the council name and we will add it. It may also be listed under a slightly different name, for example as the combined authority rather than the predecessor council.
